Malthus Uniteam design and produce gas safe shelters and blast buildings customized to client requests. The shelters are built modular for quick deployment and reduced transport cost to site. Even large buildings can be made in container sizes to reduce transport cost and enable easy relocation. The gas safe shelters and blast buildings can be customized for clients operating in arctic and cold climate conditions.

Secure your site personnel in a building that withstand explosions up to 0,8 bar and is H-120 fire protected. The Gas Safe Shelters patented by Malthus Uniteam are supplied as mobile or stationary shelters for both offshore or onshore use.

In 2016 Jotun opened an arctic test station at Svalbard to better understand how the unique arctic climate affects corrosion rates and how our coatings are performing in these surroundings.

There is a common understanding that it is vital to protect the extremely fragile arctic environment. The Svalbard test station was developed in order to test paints and coatings for service in cold climates while minimizing the environmental impact. Jotun Arctic Test Station offers unique state-of-the-art testing facilities including coating application facilities. We monitor and analyze the latest climate parameters as well as climate change. Together with oil and gas companies we develop new test methods to measure the arctic impact on corrosion and passive fire protection methods in the region.
