LNG expands by 600 times when it is transformed from a liquid to a gaseous state. The gas will only maintain its liquid state at a constant temperature of less than -163°C. Therefore, the high quality and dependable insulation of pipelines, processing plants and transport vessels are vital to the LNG business.

For LNG receiving terminals and vapour recovery pipelines, KAEFER has developed the Pre-Insulation (CCP) system; a high-performance and variable insulation product especially designed for cold and cryogenic media. The pipe segments are modular and flexible, allowing pipes to be insulated efficiently before they are installed on site. This means they are not subject to environmental variables and the process saves time and money by ensuring high quality and lower levels of manpower.

The oil and gas industry places extreme demands on passive fire-protection on its installations. Passive fire protection is therefore a vital component of the safety system. ENERGY Firecover® is a new and innovative firebox for the protection of valves and flanges, which complies with all fire and explosion standards identified in NORSOK R-004. ENERGY Firecover® has been developed and tested to protect systems under a range of fire scenarios. It has documented robust qualities and works efficient also in cold and harsh conditions.

ENERGY Firecover® is a cost-effective, time-efficient solution which predicts good lifecycle costs since the external protection is made of maintenance-free stainless steel.

The oil and gas industry places extreme demands on passive fire-protection on its installations. Passive fire is therefore a vital component of the safety system. ENERGY Fireshield® is a passive fire protection which is jetfire tested in accordance to NORSOK R-004, and explosion tested up to 1,0 barg (simulated). Removable panels offer easy access below the casing for visual inspection, without impacting the fire-shield integrity of the system, enabling easy maintenance in cold and harsh conditions.

ENERGY Fireshield® has documented robust qualities and works efficient in arctic areas. The product ensures low maintenance and life cycle cost, and is easy and fast to disassemble for inspection and maintenance.

ENERGY Dexcoat™ is a flooring system with high compression strength and elasticity for heavy loads and harsh environments. Steel constructions exposed for harsh environment and constant movements may cause fractures and cracks in traditional flooring materials. The ENERGY Dexcoat™ is designed with high elasticity to ensure that it does not crack. When used in arctic conditions, heating cables can be integrated in the floor to keep the surface free of ice.

ENERGY Dexcoat™ has flexibility to match the steel flexibility, designed with lower density to save weight and can be installed up to a thickness of 90 mm in one coat. It is suitable as foundation for any kind of surface finish. For wet/dry rooms and de-icing.
